It is with much sadness that the family of William D. Overhiser, 72, announce his passing on Saturday, May 30th. He battled Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease for the last several years. Bill was born in South Haven, Michigan on February 5th, 1937 to William M. and Edna (Trowbridge) Overhiser. He lived and worked in the Kalamazoo area most of his life. He married Barbara (Espy) on October 18th, 1973. He was a loving father and friend to all. Bill touched the lives of many through his amiable spirit and wit. He is survived by Barb, his children, Edward (Cathy) Overhiser of Kalamazoo, Jeff Overhiser of Ohio and Cheri (Larry) Strasser of Gobles, sister Janet (Brown) of Spring Lake and ten grandchildren and step-grandchildren. He is preceeded in death by his parents, sister Doris and brothers Albert, Ed and Kenneth. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 6th at Kalamazoo's First Church of the Nazarene, 5625 Oakland Drive, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM in the sanctuary.
